Server ports
Since update 1.1, the Satisfactory dedicated server uses two ports:
| Default port | Protocol | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
7777 | UDP and TCP | Game traffic and the server's HTTPS API (used by the Server Manager) |
8888 | TCP | Reliable messaging |
Without the second port, connecting to the server fails, even if the server shows up in the Server Manager.
At YorkHost: use the panel's ports
These values are the game's default ports, given for information only. At YorkHost, your server's ports are assigned by the panel (usually within the 25000-25999 range reserved for "other games") and opening the required ports is handled on our side: see Are all ports open?.
- The address to use is shown in the Game Panel, in
IP:PORTformat - This is the address you and your players enter in the Server Manager (Add Server)
Do not change the ports in the configuration files (Engine.ini, Game.ini) or in the startup parameters of the Startup tab: the server must listen on the ports assigned by the panel, otherwise it becomes unreachable.
Server unreachable: what to check?
- The server is started and has finished loading (panel Console)
- You are using the IP and port shown in the panel, not
7777 - Your game is on the same version as the server
- No port has been changed in the configuration files
If the problem persists, see Troubleshooting and Unable to connect to the server, or contact support.
