Traffic is analysed by Gcore
Traffic arriving through our transit providers goes through the Gcore scrubbing network, spread across Europe, America and Asia.

The most common questions about hosting Hermes Agent.
Is the Hermes preinstall charged separately?
No. Hermes Agent is MIT-licensed open-source software and we charge no premium for preinstalling it. You pay exactly the price of our SSD Linux VPS.
Are model credits included?
No. Hermes needs access to a model: either a Nous Portal subscription or your own API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, or a custom endpoint). That cost is separate from hosting and stays on your side.
Which configuration do I need?
A VPS-2 (2 GB) is enough for a single agent on one or two channels. Plan for 8 GB as soon as you run subagents in parallel or browse the web, and 16 GB for heavy sandboxed use.
Can I install Hermes myself on another VPS?
Yes, installation is a single command and works across our whole range (Linux Intel, Ryzen, Storage). The Hermes VPS page simply exists to hand you a machine that is already set up.
Does the agent stay active after I disconnect?
Yes. The agent runs as a system service (systemd): it keeps handling your channels and scheduled automations after your SSH session is closed.
Do I get root access to the server?
Yes, root access is complete. You can change the Hermes configuration, add your own tools, switch models or reinstall the system whenever you like.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, all our VPS are commitment-free. You can cancel from your client area at any time, with no fee and no justification.

Hermes Agent is an open-source AI agent released by Nous Research under the MIT licence. It connects to your messaging platforms (Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, email), keeps a persistent memory of your projects, schedules automations and delegates tasks to isolated subagents. Its strength comes from continuity: the longer it runs, the more of your context it knows.
That is exactly why a VPS is the right home for it. On a personal computer the agent stops at every sleep cycle and misses its scheduled tasks. On a YorkHost SSD Linux VPS it stays reachable at all times, with guaranteed resources, a dedicated French IPv4, 7-day rolling backups and Anti-DDoS protection included.
